AUTUMN ESSENTIALS 🍁🍂

Hello Loves! Welcome back to the prettiest season of all, Autumn. The season of beautiful scenery accompanied with an array of autumnal colours, crunchy leaves, and cozy knits.  Tis's officially sweater weather!

Personally, i love the vibe of Autumn. the lovely hues, the warmth and the seasonal hot beverages, along with the opportunity to visit a pumpkin patch and take the classic pictures you've all probably seen pop up on your social media feeds.

In today's post, I'll share my Essentials for the season. My favourite things that -in my opinion- accompanies the season.

1. Vampy and Brown Lipsticks

If you were hesitant before about putting on a dark lippie before, This season is your excuse to ROCK it.

The dark shades of red and deep wine colours compliment this season's colours! and the best thing is you don't have to spend lots of time doing your makeup! You can pair the dark lippie with mascara and still look like you've spent time doing your makeup.

If the dark side wasn't for you, you're not left out. The  spectrum of browns and mauves gives us an alternative to dark lips. It's still the more natural options if you were not a dark lip enthusiast. My go to lipstick would definitely be Huda beauty's liquid lipstick in the shade "Trendsetter". While it is intended to be a nude, it will vary by skin tone.

2. Knits

Besides their functionality to keep us warm, Knits are the season's MUST. sweaters with neutral tones such as greys and whites are usually paired with a pop of colour wether thats a red scarf, or mustard cardigan.

If you're on the lookout for new additions to your wardrobe, check out Zara Knits and H&M. They do a fantastic job with their knits every season. They're my top favourites to shop from!

3. Boots

Pairing oversized sweaters with boots is a great transition to the winter. Chelsea boots are the trend  for Autumn 2017. While i like the minimalism of Chelsea boots, i love the lace-up chunkier looking boots as they add more grunge to the look.

4. Maple Cinnamon Latte

Pumpkin flavoured everything is Autumn's main ingredient in any food or drink during this season. the overhype of the pumpkin spice latte (Starbuck's bestseller during these months) could take over other Autumnal flavoured drinks. Here is a recipe for those who want to change up things; Maple Syrup Cinnamon Chai Latte:

Ingredients:

2 Cups Almond milk
2 tea bags
2 tbsp maple syrup (as desired)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
Whip cream and cinnamon for seasoning.

Directions:

1. In a teapot over medium heat, heat the milk until it simmers, then add the tea bags and let it steep for 5 min.
2.  Remove from heat and add the spices. Whisk well
3. Add maple syrup. Add whip cream and sprinkle some cinnamon. ENJOY!

What's your favourite thing about the season?
